PSP Vita: A Damn Good Gadget!!!

News of the PlayStation Vita spread through the gaming community like wildfire. The tablet-like device delivers power and fun to a world addicted to mobile devices. Now, PlayStation lovers can experience true console experiences that surpass anything the iTunes store and Android Market can offer.

Vita looks a lot like a mobile tablet computing device and shares some things in common. For example, the handheld console uses a quad-core CPU to deliver stunning processing speed and brilliant, fast-moving graphics. Like a tablet, the device has front- and rear-mounted cameras and will soon have the capability to communicate using Skype (Vita does not have a built-in phone).

Like the mobile tablets consumers use, Vita comes with Wi-Fi connectivity. Vita comes with its own social discovery app, so mobile users can easily find other mobile gamers in their area. Other apps include photo and video programs, a Web browser and some helpful utilities.

1.    A huge, brilliant 5-inch OLED screen
Mirror-like when turned off, the large LCD screen on the Vita gives gamers enough real estate to see their games without making the device too big. Though bigger than most smartphones, Vita is smaller than most tablets, making it manageable enough to fit in coat pockets, purses and briefcases.

2.    Console controls plus a touch screen action

The PS Vita provides dual analog sticks that combine with an interactive touch screen to make it one of the easiest-to-use mobile game consoles ever. The mobile console also has front and rear multi-touch touch pads.

3. Console Interaction
PS Vita connects to a PlayStation 3 gaming console, so players can start a game using a large screen and traditional PlayStation controls. When players want to go mobile, they can disconnect the Vita and continue the game using the built-in screen and controllers.

4.    Dedicated to Games
PS Vita owners do not have to wade through masses of apps and screens to find games. A dedicated gaming platform makes finding games easy and fast.

5.    Plenty of Games
Sony has plenty of games lined up for the PS Vita. The system uses memory cards rather than disks, so it weighs a lot less than the old PSP. Speaking of the PSP, Sony has made some PSP games available on the Vita at special low prices. Vita-specific games can cost $50 or more.
