March19, 2012. Through a press release, Apple announced that it has sold more than three million units new iPad, and it is the most formidable iPad launching, ever.
"The new iPad is a blockbuster with 3 million sold, the strongest iPad launch yet. Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can't wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday." -Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
"We had a record weekend, and we are thrilled with it." -Apple's chief executive officer Tim Cook.
After the initial premier sales in 11 countries last Friday, as soon as this Friday, on March 23, the new iPad will hit 24 more. Up until now, the new iPad got mostly positive reviews from gadget reviewers and users.
