Nokia Windows 8 Tablet Rumored to Arrive This Year End

Having teamed up in creating Lumia smartphones, this time, Nokia and Microsoft is together again building Nokia's first tablet, running Windows 8.

Nokia Windows 8 Tablet initially is rumored to launch in June 2012. However, based on some recent news, this schedule will be delayed until the fourth quarter this year. As reported by Digitimes, the Nokia tablet will be a 10-inch tablet.
 

Nokia will use a dual core ARM processor, to support Microsoft's Windows 8 ARM edition. Qualcomm will supply the processor.
 

The use of Microsoft's Windows 8 is very essential for Nokia and Microsoft. They will rely heavily on this tablet to rival Apple and Android in mobile device market.
 

Nokia will entrust the tablet manufacturing to Compal Electronics. Even for the first phase, Nokia is rumored to produce 200,000 units of Nokia Windows 8 tablet.
