• Saturday, Sept 21st: BBM on iOS becomes available 12:01am EST in local time zones

ChatOn: BlackBerry Curve 9360

It's wonderful to have ChatOn finally arrive on my BlackBerry Curve 9360. It's cute emoticons are really hard to resist (lol).

ChatOn's official site currently provides two links to download ChatOn for BlackBerry:

No OTA download available yet (hopefully ChatOn will appear in App World soon), means we have to:

1. download it first to PC or laptop
2. extract the zip file
3. copy the extracted folder to the phone
4. search for "ChatOn.jad" then execute the file
5. follow the installation steps, and YES! The ChatON is now ready!

I already tested ChatOn on BlackBerry 9360, 9700, and 9900. It runs smoothly on those phones. Note that the 9900 needs the Non-Touch Phone installation files. ChatOn won't work on 9900 if you install the Touch Phone files.

So far, for me the only problem is the application's extremely small text size. The setting menu only offers to change chat-font size. Let's see if Samsung is going to work on this problem.

Samsung Galaxy III Leaks Again

Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the most anticipated gadgets this year. Leaked image of the Galaxy III seemed to come from Weber Shandwick, a Public Relation company known as Samsung's partner in several countries. Different sources consider this leak more credible than the previous ones. No phone specification on the image, but the phone looks really sexy. See for yourselves:

The phone design looks thinner than its older brother Galaxy S II. Physical home button is located below the screen. Two buttons the right side would be the power button and the camera button.

Galaxy S III is rumored to get launched on May 22 in London, England.

What Galaxy Note 10.1 Can and New iPad Can't

Apple just held its big event, introducing the new iPad last Wednesday in San Fransisco. Samsung responds aggressively by publishing a grid, e-mailed to the press, directly comparing its Galaxy Note 10.1 with the new iPad. On the grid, the South Korean firm descibes the specifications and detailed features that show why Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is better than 'The New iPad'.

Samsung emphasizes on the Galaxy Note 10.1's ability to run two applications at a time. Samsung also showed that using its stylus, which is called S-Pen, gives more precision advantage, compared with just your fingers. Its unique S-Pen also has multiple pressure sensitivity level, while iPad only detects standard stylus pressure level. In addition, 10.1 Note Galaxy also has a lighter weight and slimmer body.

  
Display resolution and processor are off the grid, since Apple's iPad  is clearly superior in both aspects.

Tiny-Budget Galaxy Pocket

Recently, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Pocket. An entry level Android smartphone, which comes with 2.8" QVGA LCD screen, powered with a 832MHz processor, and running Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

The smartphone has a capacity of 3GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. Galaxy Pocket comes with a dual-band 3.6 Mbps HSDPA and quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE networks. Other features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and microUSB also pinned for data transfers.

As for Multimedia, Galaxy Pocket has a 2 MP camera, 3.5 mm audio jack, and Stereo FM Radio with RDS. Full dimensions of the phone: 103.7 x 57.5 x 12 mm, 97 grams.

Galaxy Pocket will be available later in this year and it will be very, very cheap.

The Monstrous SAMSUNG GALAXY SIII

Samsung has openly stated that it would not yet reveal the new and most eagerly awaited, the Galaxy S III, for the MWC 2012 event. Even so, rumors related to the flagship smartphone always increasingly buzzing.

“Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product. Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world.”

According to the latest information presented, as reported by BGR reliable sources, said that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S III simultaneously in more than 50 markets or cities. In addition, the Galaxy S III is also mentioned going to come with 4.8-inch display. What type of display that will be used is not mentioned, although according to another rumor said that the smartphone will be equipped with Super AMOLED Plus HD. The successor to Galaxy S II is said to have a back cover made ​​of ceramic, a very intersting material.

In previous rumors, quad-core processor, Android 4.0, 4G LTE, large cameras, and other competitive specifications will present in Galaxy III arsenal.

Galaxy Ace Plus and Galaxy M Style are Coming

Samsung launches smartphone Galaxy Ace Plus, an upgraded model of the Galaxy Ace smartphone.

Galaxy Ace Plus looks almost identical to its predecessor, but has much more powerful hardware such as processor 1 GHz, 2 GB of storage for content and 1 GB of storage for applications, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity, 512 MB RAM and 3.65-inch screen mega pixels with a resolution of 480 x 320.

The device will be available in Russia, followed by Europe, CIS, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Samsung is also launching another Android smart phone, Galaxy M Style. The device has a Super AMOLED screen 4-inch, a single-core 1 GHz CPU, 4 GB of storage and a 3-megapixel camera.

Just as the Galaxy Ace Plus, M Style uses the Android 2.3 operating system with Samsung's TouchWiz UI. Date of availability of devices that have not been announced, but the price is somewhat around $500.

This is the first tablet of Samsung Galaxy Tab series which uses Super AMOLED Plus display technology.
